[To the Editor of THE SPECTATOR.] SIR, — Your " Under Thirties
" may be young in age, bu: are certainly antique in thought. Here is " No. IV " declaring her belief in a God " who is the totality of the universe," and advocating as a guide of life " living in harmony with the laws of the universe, &c." What is this but pure stoicism ? What is surprising is that" No. IV " doesn't proceed to claim the title of " Chriitian." For the religion of most English people is not Christianity at all, but a sentimentalised stoicism.—
