SIR,—I used to know a man in Australia who went by the name of Abrah Brown. I used to wonder where he got his name- from. I was told, on credible authority (with names of petsons and places), that his father had had him baptised Abracadabra, after a favourite mare ! I believe it was really the case.—I am,.
