The Paris letters of Thursday mention a curious combination of
accidents: last week a horse in King Louis Philippe's carriage dropped down dead; on Wed- nesday, a wheel of Marshal Souk's carriage flew ofc throwing him out, but un- hurt; and on Wednesday, too, General Count de Is Spam, a veteran, fell dead, from apoplexy, while attending the Duke of Nemours at a review.
