TUE proprietor of this Theatre had issued cards of invitation to his friends and introns, in the hope of king able to present them, this evening, with a dress rehearsal of Mr. E. Eon's new Opera, Noutauhad ; but this it was found impracticable to accomplish within the time ; and a numerous and re- spectable atelience enjoyed the novel amusement of seeing Messrs. WIL- SON, PHILLIPS. KEELEY, and their brethren, enact Persian characters in their everyday costume. The late hour at which the rehearsal began, a ill not allow its to enter upon a description of the finished Theatre, further than to say that it is the best-constructed and handsomest building of its kind in London. In addition to the above-named performers, Ans., Rom La, Miss IIE %Ix, and Miss NOVELL() appeared in the piece. We question the propriety of calling in the public to witness imperfect exhibitions; and therefore will not he guilty of the injustice of criticizing Mr. Lonlia's Opera till we SVC and hear it complete. It certainly promises well, and evinces talent for the construction of dramatic music- Air. A r.xor.n has got together a most effective company in comic as well as vocal talent. There is Jon N REEVE, with his broad rich humour and NI blown buffoonery ; KEELEV, with his ludicrous helplessness and insignificant self • importance ; Ws exert, with his power of face and easy non-chatance ; SA1.1'1- R and OXREERV. two capital low comedians; Brissoar IhIt,L, a proper Irishman ; F. MaTrnews, W. WILLI a ass, and W. 13ENNETT, a famous trio of old fellows ; and 0. Saturn, the mince of daemons and desperadoes. SKIMP: is to take the serious characters: he is always in earnest, and we hope his good sense has embled him to get rid of some of his pteaching tone. PERKINS is to be the melodramrtic hero; and IIESISSINGS, from the Adelphi, the walking gentleman.
