SIR,-1 can speak only for myself, but I have found my respect for and confidence in the police very much reduced by the knowledge that some of them, when in plain clothes, act as agents provocateurs in order to arrest homosexuals. I find this practice infinitely more repulsive than those of which their victims are accused.—Yours faithfully,
