Sir: Pace Petronella Wyatt on New Labour's Brighton champagne (`The love of power', 4 October), I well remember my father complaining in the mid-Forties that he could hardly get into the cocktail bar at the Dorchester for the crush of Labour ministers. Nothing changes.
