[To THE EDITOR OF TIER " SPECTATOR."] SIE, — Your correspondent, Mr. Martin,
in the Spectator of November 4th, is wrong, I believe, in attributing to Sterile the saying : "If it had rained mitres, none would have fitted his head." What he is thinking of, I fancy, is the well-known passage from "A Sentimental Journey ":—" Grant me but health, thou great bestower of it and shower down thy mitres, if it seein good unto thy divine providence, upon those heads which are aching for them."—I am, Sir, &c., F.
