Seriously boring

Sir: As a lifelong collector of boring books (Letters, 28 May), I must particularly rec- ommend for a really seriously boring read: Manuring Food Crops by George Copley; Practical Lessons in Metal Turning and Screwcutting by Percival Marshall; Sewage Treatment and Disposal by G. M. Flood, and perhaps most boring of all, Manual of Cost Accounting in the Footwear Industry by Bertram Nelson.
