Tales of the Long Bow. By G. K. Chesterton. (Cassell.
rts. 6d. net.)—These are fantastic and ingenious tales in which Mr. Chesterton gives his readers the added pleasure of a guessing competition. Each story is centred round a proverb, the identity of which can be discovered by the ingenious. On the whole, the first paper, giving an account of " The Unpresentable Appearance of Colonel Crane," is the most engaging.
