ing remark. The late Prelate's name was FRANCIS XAviEit , CAS- TIGLIONE, which he changed, on his elevation, to PIUS VIII: Ile . was born at Cingoli, on the 20th November, 1761; and created bead of the Catholic church, 31st March, 1829. The day of his death is not mentioned.
