Clubs, 1908. Edited by E. G. Austen Leigh, MA. (Spottis-

woode and Co. 3s. 61.)—This list of "English Clubs" appears for the sixteenth time, with various additions and improvements. The clubs catalogued and described are scattered over the world. London leads the list with nearly three hundred. The "Pro- vincial" follow, and are succeeded by clubs in Europe, Australasia, and, in short, all regions. The total number is 3,180 (2,085 in the United Kingdom, and 1,095 elsewhere). Of these 1,144 are golf clubs.—We may mention along with this, as being not wholly foreign, Mediterranean and Winter Resorts, by Eustace Reynolds Ball (Hazel], Watson, and Co., 3s. 6d.), now in its sixth edition. The volume before us deals with Southern Europe.
