Scots Guards trial

An article by Sir Ludovic Kennedy on 23 May commented on the imprison- ment in Northern Ireland of Guards- men Jim Fisher and Mark Wright and the evidence called at their trial.

We and Ludovic Kennedy wish to make it clear that our article did not intend to criticise the men's lawyers or the conduct of the men's defence and we accept that any such criticism would be unwarranted. We and Ludovic Kennedy apologise to the men's lawyers accordingly.
