As- Mr. Max Beerbohm says in his appreciative introduction, they suffer at times from an excess of vigour, but Dixon Scott's humorous, dogmatic, para- doxical papers on Mr. Shaw, Mr. Kipling, Sir James Barrie, Henry' James, and Mr. Arnold Bennett are distinctly entertaining.
