The .Assam Tea Company will on Tuesday next hold its

annual general meeting. The report of the directors states that the gene- ral prospects of the workings of the company continue to be of a satisfactory and cheering character. The net profits for the twelve months ended September 30, 1863, amount to 44,5121., being as nearly as possible equal to 25 per cent. on the paid-up capital.
