Vindication Sir: Mr Auberon Waugh's excellent article 'Poles apart' (Spectator,

26 June) was quite naturally greeted with great interest and appreciation by the members of our Association.

Most certainly, there is little more that need be added to Mr Waugh's Criticism of the article 'How Poland gets the best of both worlds' by Mr Richard Davy, published recently in the Times. Indeed, the critical comments seem even more pertinent in the light of the events in Poland during the past few days, in which the workers swiftly demonstrated their opinion of the regime's policies.
