in family allowances, commensur- ate with the number of children after the third.
By the same token, a rebate might be granted to all elderly childless couples, and the elderly child- less unmarried ones who have subsidised the social welfare services without benefit to themselves. This would not only be just, but to the often homeless, and struggling spinster in her late 'fifties, some retri- bution for the lost young men of the Second World War who died; or are they forgotten too?
