Mr Ronald Frederick Batty, of Beeleigh, Abbey, Maldon, Essex, husband Christina Foyle, who with his wife played a considerable part in building up the family bookshop in Charing Cross Road, died on June 19th last,' aged 83, leaving estate valued aL £7,981,438 gross, £7,713,594 net. He left six cases of vintage champagne each t° Robert A. Crossey, Silas Krendel aricl David J. Tandy, £20,000 and his shares in Whetstone Properties Ltd to Clive Eckert, £20,000 to Norris McWhirter, £5,000 to Anne Jacques, and the residue to his wife.
