Strange Tales of Peril and Adventure (Religious Tract Society), consists

of stories, that have already appeared in the Leisure Hour. There are twenty-two of them in all, and they take us to varied scenes, Alpine climbing, Australian exploration, adventures on the South American Pampas, and the like. Do any of our middle-aged readers remember a series of volumes entitled "The Excitement" (understand "to read ") ? The volume before us is exactly their counterpart.
